Black Friday may get the hype, but for a touch of something a little more local, Small Business Saturday offers a personal touch.
This year, local vendors gathered at Water Street Village for SBS, offering gifts you won't find waiting in line overnight. The Art Bazaar focused on all things creative, including handmade artwork, ornaments, wall art and much more.
"Original art, original gift-giving, that's our theme," said Laurette Escobar, an organizer for the event. "And we are small business and micro-small business. So it's very helpful to have people come out and shop with us."
Shoppers at the event also contributed to a five dollar donation to the charity Tacos Not Bombs, a local group that provides meals to the homeless community.
If you didn't make it out, don't worry, the next Art Bazaar will be held the second Friday of December, once again at Water Street Village.
