City to begin accepting applications for Operation Heat Help

Posted: Updated:

Corpus Christi’s Gas Department and Utility Business Office, along with the Nueces County Department of Social Services are offering the annual Operation Heat Help program for citizens in need.

The plan pays up to $100 of the gas portion of utility bills for qualified households from November 2017 to February 2018.

Applications will be accepted at the Nueces County Department of Social Services at 602 N Staples, Suite 180 beginning December 1 and running through March 31.

Applicants for the program must present a utility bill, valid ID, proof of all household income for the past 30 days and copies of checks and award letters relating to other family resources.

The city says funds are limited and awards will be given to qualified households on a first come, first served basis.
