HOUSTON -

Injured Houston Texan player J.J. Watt received a letter from Houston Astros player Jose Altuve along with a bottle of whiskey.

A picture of the letter and the bottle of whiskey were posted on the NFL star's Twitter account Thursday afternoon.

The letter states," From one H-town brother to another, thanks for all you've done this year for the city we call home. Your support for all things for all things Houston - from hurricane relief to being our number one fan - has been nothing short of incredible."

"So, I hope you'll accept this fine whiskey gift I gave all my teammates following our championship win because to me, you're absolutely part of the squad, the letter concluded.

Last month, J.J.Watt suffered a season-ending injury playing against the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, Watt has raised millions of dollars to help the city of Houston after Hurricane Harvey.
