Tuloso Midway volleyball hoping to make a run in the playoffs

The Lady Cherokees from Tuloso Midway are 41 and 4 on the year and undefeated in league play

They play Running Springs at Vets Memorial on Friday.

The gals from Gregory Portland are also in the regional Playoffs, a place they haven't been since at least 1989.

If both TM and GP win, they will play each other at Vet's Memorial on Saturday.

    For the second straight year, Calallen will play Mercedes in a rematch during the playoffs. The Wildcats took care of the Tigers in week one 35 to 7. Calallen is still perfect at 11-0. Mercedes has lost just one game since.  The rematch will take place Friday afternoon at Javelina Stadiuim in Kingsville at 2pm.

    Sinton quarterback Colt Gorman turned in a sensational performance against Raymondville in the opening round of the playoffs last Thursday. He helped lead the Pirates to a convincing 49 to 28 win over the Bearkats. He completed 20 of 35 passes for 428 yards and five touchdowns.
