Posted: Updated:

The city of Port Aransas is a step closer to cleaning up the piles of storm debris from Hurricane Harvey.

According to the mayor of Port Aransas, the city has finally received government approval to remove storm debris from private property.

It was nearly a month that the city had been waiting for that approval.

The mayor says that the cleanup of the streets in Port Aransas is about halfway completed.
