For more than four decades, the people of Rockport-Fulton have invited the Coastal Bend community to Seafair.
It has served as a fall celebration to fill the void between the departure of summer visitors and the arrival of winter tourists.
In spite of the recent damage inflicted on the community by Hurricane Harvey, this year was no exception.
The 43rd Seafair kicked off Thursday, October 12 and will run through Sunday, October 15 at the Festival Grounds at Rockport Harbor.
Designed with families in mind, the sea-themed festival once again features live entertainment, dozens of vendors, gumbo and chili cook-offs, seafood, a car show, water entertainment and a big parade.
Seafair kicked-off with the popular Battle of the Bands competition on Thursday evening.
