Tuloso-Midway's Volleyball team has been dominating throughout the district, and this is not their first year doing so. For a third year in a row, the Warriors are undefeated and it's not just the simple hard work that gives them the upper hand. With 10 seniors, one junior and one sophomore, most of these girls grew up playing together and the sisterhood they share is more than a bond.
Their coach, Jamie Gill, is more of a mother, they have fun, crack jokes, but still get down to business. All because they understand how each other play. "I think the biggest thing about this team is that their ability to fight through anything. They are determined, they have great ball control and they've been playing together for years, so they know exactly what the person to the left and right of them are going to do and what they're not going to do. And so they fill in for each others weaknesses or strengths."
For a few of the girls, having an undefeated streak of this caliber, is not surprising, but saying they're happy is an understatement. "It's great, I'm absolutely loving it, all the hard work we've put in. In club and in school, it's paying off, and hopefully it attributes into our playoff run," says Victoria Barton.
Playoffs are still a ways away, but this Friday night, the Warriors will face the Miller Bucs, whom are 0-9.
