Mobile unit provides services to veterans in rural areas

A mobile center will be touring the Coastal Bend this week to provide services to veterans in rural areas.

The VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (VATVCBHCS) together with Nueces County Veterans Services will set up a mobile center at three different locations over the next three days to provide services like individual readjustment counseling, group meetings and counseling, bereavement counseling, substance abuse information and more. 

Information will also be provided on VA benefits,Texas Veterans Commission Education services, and the Texas Leadership Program with Workforce Solutions.

The goal is to make it easier for local veterans in rural areas to receive the services they are eligible for through serving our country.

The mobile center will be at the following locations on the following days:

Corpus Christi - Wednesday, October 11
VFW Post 3837
12030 Leopard Street

Driscoll - Thursday, October 12
Driscoll Community Center
200 East 6th Street

Flour Bluff - Friday, October 13
VFW Post 8932
