Nueces County Judge Loyd  Neal received the Russell H. Perry award at a Texas Department of Transportation event in College Station October 10.

The award recognizes individual citizens for leadership in gaining public awareness for the need for and benefits of adequate highway transportation facilities in the State of Texas.

“I have always been a strong believer that adequate transportation infrastructure is a driver of economic prosperity across many levels of the State of Texas and our Nation,” said Neal “It is an honor to be recognized for this commitment and dedication throughout my public service.”

Judge Neal is currently Chairman of the Alliance for I-69 Texas, Transportation Policy Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, and was a major driving force behind the efforts to replace the Harbor Bridge.
