ALICE - An elderly woman was arrested yesterday following a drug bust in Alice.

Investigators with the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office were serving a narcotics search warrant at a home on the 1700 block of Carmen Street when they found 73-year-old Andrea Flores inside her bedroom weighing and packaging cocaine, according to officials with the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say they also found 40 grams of synthetic marijuana, pills inside a container and drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale and sandwich bags, in the woman's home.

Flores was arrested and charged with two counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say that Flores was previously arrested on drug charges in the 1990s but did not give further information.
