Despite all the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, the Rockport-Fulton Pirates will open the season at Sinton Friday night. The Sinton Pirates were unable to play last week too, so this will be a big game for both programs.
"I have six to ten kids that don't have homes to go to," said Rockport-Fulton head coach Jay Seibert. "They are staying with friends and for two and a half hours a day, they come here and life is pretty normal. It's like it was before. We are looking forward to playing for our town this Friday. We have been knocked down, but we're getting up and coming back hard."
