The 1950s return to the Al Amin Shrine Center this weekend

Rock around the clock at a 50s Sock Hop and Ice Cream Social! It is being presented as the annual fundraiser for the Elidad Temple No. 134, Daughters of the Nile.

The event will be hosted from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Al Amin Shrine Center, 2001 Suntide Rd., on Sunday, September 10th. A $10 donation will open the door to ice cream and a hot dog bar, a costume contest, dancing and a silent auction.

Net proceeds will benefit the Convalescent Relief Account. These funds are distributed to Shriners Hospitals for Children, where families in need receive care regardless of their ability to pay.

Daughters of the Nile is an international fraternal organization for women 18 years or older who are related by birth or marriage to a Shriner, Master Mason, or Daughter of the Nile, or is a majority member in good standing of a Masonic-related organization for girls; or who was a patient, with or without Shrine or Masonic relationship, at a Shriners Hospital for Children.
