CORPUS CHRISTI -

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center is providing giant opportunities to small business owners during a three-day workshop called "Doing Business with Giants."

All small business owners who are interested in doing business with large firms are encouraged to attend the free event, running Monday, August 28th through Wednesday, August 30th, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Business Innovation Center (10201 S.P.I.D. in Flour Bluff).

Each day of the workshop features different panelists – each representing a large business in Nueces County – who will give an overview of the specific rules and regulations for doing business with their firm. They will then engage in an interactive question and answer period with those in attendance.

The free event will conclude each day with a boxed lunch and networking opportunities.

Panelists for workshop include:

  • Monday, August 28th: City of Corpus Christi, Corpus Christi Independent School District, Fulton Construction and Valero Refining
  • Tuesday, August 29th: The Port of Corpus Christi, Corpus Christi Army Depot, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and 1st Community Bank
  • Wednesday, August 30th: Learn about the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zones by U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. General Services Administration by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
