Family and friends have identified the victim of a fatal pedestrian crash.

Family members say Mari Ybarra was killed after a vehicle hit her while she was walking home after getting off of work.

The crash happened at the intersection of Ayers and McArdle around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning. 

Police say the vehicle's driver, 27-year-old Robert Simmons, was taken to jail for intoxication manslaughter after officers say he hit a woman with his vehicle.

The vehicle flipped over after the crash and Simmons suffered minor injuries. He was treated for his wounds and was later taken into custody.

His bond is set at $20,000.
