CORPUS CHRISTI -

Due to Hurricane Franklin waves surged yesterday onto the beaches of Padre Island National Seashore (PINS) up to the dune line.

Today, both North and South beaches at the National Seashore are once again open to vehicle traffic.  Before you come to the seashore remember the following:

- Use a four-wheel drive
- Bring a tow rope and shovel
- Check the tides before you get on the beach
- Know the limitations of your vehicle.
- Bring a spare key kept on your person
- Use caution
