There are many existing a new construction projects happening that will affect traffic this week.

  • Work will begin on the new Mission of Mercy Project near the corner of Baldwin and Ayers. Southbound Ayers Street will be reduced to one lane.
  • Paul Jones Avenue traffic will be detoured onto Holly Road while work is being done between Holly and Moffet on Paul Jones.
  • Eastbound Staples Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic as work is done on near the RTA station and 10th Street.
  • AEP contract work will have Staples and Booty Streets reduced to one lane of traffic near that intersection.
  • In George West, road work on US 59 Business will have traffic reduced to one lane until 7 a.m.

If you must travel in these areas, give yourself some extra time for your commute, slow down and watch out for those working in these construction zones.
