AUSTIN -

An Austin company that makes queso dips is turning heads in the Lone Star state because their product didn't show it contained cheese.

According to WOAI-TV in San Antonio (http://bit.ly/2t55Gw0), Texas Legend Foods is pulling their 16-ounce jars of "Silver Star Chipotle Queso Dip" because "they contain undeclared cheese, milk, and eggs."

The Food and Drug Administration states people who are allergic to cheese, milk, and eggs need to know if a product has any of those items because they are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the product.

A look at the jar can be viewed here.

The dip was distributed nationwide in retail stores and comes in a 16-ounce clear glass jar marked with one of the following Lot #s:

  • 060AFV7A
  • 072AFV7A
  • 072AFV7B
  • 090AFV7A
  • 111AFV7A

The UPC CODE #819993005394.
