Since 1990, Operation SOS has grown to assist students in 36 districts with basic school supplies. 100% of the proceeds go towards the effort.
We want to ensure every child in the Coastal Bend is adequately supplied on the first day of school; allowing the students and parents a worry-free start to the year. The United Way of the Coastal Bend handles determining what school districts need, the warehousing of the items, and distribution to districts.
Here's a list of items needed if you choose to donate supplies to Operation SOS:
Wide & College ruled notebook paper
12" rulers (wood or plastic)
Two-pocket folders (various colors)
