A familiar face from the silver screen will be on stage at Brewster Street Icehouse on Friday, May 19th. Sales Director, Ashlee Struchen with Brewster Street says, the celebrity and his 'sharks' will perform a number of original hits as well as classics and some country.

"It's pretty cool, we're going to have a Hollywood star here in Corpus Christi, it's his first time coming," Struchen said.

Movie star, Dennis Quaid plays lead guitar with his band and Struchen says, they'll be live in the S.E.A District and it'll likely be a packed show.

"He has two sold out shows at Gruene Hall and they added a Corpus date, so we got really lucky and we're so excited to welcome him to Corpus."

Quaid, who's originally from Houston, has been moonlighting as a musician for years.

"I love seeing these multi-talented actors coming here, you know they're not just a one-trick pony, he can sing and his awesome, you know 'The Rookie' is one of my favorite movies."

He's best known for movies like 'The Rookie' and 'Vantage Point.' Struchen says, though, Quaid kills on stage with jams like, "LA Woman."

Don't forget, doors open at 8 o'clock and Struchen says, the venue is inviting for children and live-music lovers alike.

"Our tagline is Food, Family, Fun, we try to make it a family-friendly atmosphere, the concerts are always kids friendly, so we have a playground, you know you can put your kids to play while you rock out to Dennis Quaid and the Sharks."
