The 21st annual Sandfest kicks off Friday in Port Aransas.
Sand sculptors from all over the world are in town, to compete in the largest master sand sculpting competition in the United States. The event is also a qualifier for the world championships.
Amateurs can also get some sand between their toes. Sand sculpting lessons will be available for anyone interested.
There will be more than 100 food and merchandise vendors, as well as a beer and wine garden. Visitors can also enjoy live music throughout the weekend.
Tickets are $10 for adults for all three days, but visitors will need a beach permit. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.
