Residents will be able to talk to city employees about the various services the city offers during the "City Hall in the Mall" event on Saturday, May 20th.
The city is planning a "City Hall in the Mall" event next month to answer the public's questions.
Several city departments will set up 50 booths across La Palmera Mall on Saturday, May 20th. Residents will be able to get a library card, ask questions about animal adoptions, learn about how the utilities department works and ask questions about all city departments. City Manager Margie Rose and several city council members will be there to answer questions as well.
The Corpus Christi Police Department and the Corpus Christi Fire Department will also be there recruiting prospective cadets.
City officials are hoping everyone will come out. City of Corpus Christi Media Relations Director Kim Womack said, "We did this some years back but the goal is so that people know exactly what their city does for them. We not only do we handle streets and utilities but there are so many other programs and services that the city provides that some people don't know about."
"City Hall in the Mall" will be held on Saturday, May 20th from 11 am to 6 pm. It's free and the first 250 people who show up will get a goodie bag.
