A new short film, that was made right here in South Texas, is set to make its debut this weekend.
Chris Wilson is the writer behind the movie. Not only that, he's also a Coast Guard swimmer, father of two and a dedicated Christian.
But he hasn't always had a good relationship with Christ. That's why he's sharing this story. "The heart behind the project is giving sound reasoning as evidence for a creator," Wilson said.
The mini-movie is called, 'In His Image,' It's a 30-minute movie that covers some big questions using music and dialogue.
"Everything is visual these days. It's not just music on a radio, It's YouTube, it's people watching and getting to know the artist and the heart behind the songs," Wilson said.
Through the movie Wilson answers questions like, Is there a God, where is he, why is there evil and what do we do next?
He says he hopes anyone with similar questions can watch the film and get the answers they need to move forward in their relationship with God.
Chris and his wife enjoy taking mission trips together to Africa. In fact, they're closely involved with a charity that helps less fortunate children there.
All of the proceeds from the mini-movie will benefit this charity.
Wilson says working on this project has been a blessing, and he hopes to continue blessing others through it's creation.
The project will air this Saturday, February 11th at 6pm at the Calvary Chapel Coastlands. (3001 Rodd Field Rd)
The viewing is free and open to the public.
Moody wrestler Kacie Rodriguez is ranked 8th in the nation in the 200 pound weight class.
