Grand opening scheduled for March 2, 2017 for the Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay.
The project has been long awaited, just about ten years to be exact and the wait is almost over for the grand opening of the Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay.
This was the first time in the construction phase we've gotten to take a glimpse from the inside of the outlets. The grand opening is set for March 2nd and we're told there will be about 25 stores up and running by then.
With that grand opening less than a month away, some of the store are taking shape. The signs are up, like Sketchers but as the opening nears and the rest of the stores continue to fill up, Kimberly Perez says they're also focusing on parking and traffic.
Perez says, they're working with TXDOT and Robstown Police -- who will have a sub-station on site -- to ensure everyone's safety on the big day.
Perez said, "I think the need comes from one, being a shopping center, we want to make sure that everyone feels safe no matter what time it is. As well as this being a centralized area for people to come to in Robstown, I think it's just a good idea to have Robstown PD on site with us at all times."
There will be a VIP party before the grand opening and 100% of ticket sales will benefit local non-profits like Dress for Success and the Ronald McDonald house.
