CORPUS CHRISTI -
Del Mar College's Enrollment numbers are exploding! Today, the college will celebrate that fact.
The fact is that the fall 2016 credit enrollment surpasses the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's projection by nearly 16% and exceeds state projections through 2025. Continuing Education courses have also seen a boost, doubling in numbers since the 2011-2012 academic year, this includes the Workforce Training courses and certifications.
Students and staff will speak at the Del Mar College Student Center about their experiences and why they think the college has surpassed enrollment expectations and will continue to grow.
Staff members attribute the increased enrollment to several new initiatives such as; expanding class sizes to accommodate students and by helping students currently on academic probation stay in college.
The announcement will be Tuesday, October 11th at 11:30 a.m. in the DMC Harvin Student Center.
