TAMU-CC students learn how to respond in oil spill scenario

Students from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi took advantage of a new vessel for oil response training.
In February, the Corpus Christi marina brought in the Multiple Emergency Response Vessel, or MERV, from Louisiana. The MERV is an expandable boat that has a multitude of abilities, from debris collection to water rescue and large object retrieval.
On Thursday, students with the National Spill Control School at the Island University used the vessel for training in case there is an oil spill.
