Fit4Mom Corpus Christi is a fun way for momma and baby to be outdoors, burn calories and boost energy all at once. The group has grown in town over the last six years and now they're incorporating new workouts to keep up with the latest trends, according to local owner, Jennifer Rock.
"It's a 60 minute full body workout," Rock said.
We first introduced you to Rock back in March. She owns Fit4Mom CC and can relate to women who say, it can be tough to balance business. Plus, find time to exercise with a little one around.
"It's really important not only for mom but especially for baby, we get to bring our baby to workout, take care of ourselves and interact with our baby during our workout," Rock said.
The kids love it. Rock who's a mother of two, is heading to Austin to get certified in "Stroller barre" a new lower impact branch of "Stroller strides."
"Stroller barre is a blend of yoga, pilates and stroller based exercises all designed to lengthen and strengthen your muscles and do some toning," she said.
It's just one of several different programs Fit4Mom offers in the sparkling city. Amanda Kerns, momma of three, says it's beneficial for both herself and miss Ellie.
"They love it so much, not only am I setting a great example for them, they've met so many different friends, they get to learn about different events, ABC's, shapes, letters, everything," Kerns said.
Kerns has been part of Fit4Mom for 18 months and says it's really helped her shed baby weight but gain good friends.
"I really struggled with being a mom and then having young children and trying to find a way to incorporate exercise, so when I discovered Fit4Mom Corpus Christi, I immediately feel in love, it was a perfect fit," Kerns said.
Fit4Mom Corpus Christi is hosting a free introduction to "Stroller barre" and Lululemon trunk show on Saturday April 25th at Cole Park at 10am. Go to corpuschristi.fit4mom.com for more information.
