Man killed in overnight shooting at Cos-Way Bait and Tackle

CORPUS CHRISTI -

According to CCPD a 29-year-old suspect turned himself in today at 4.40 a.m in connection to the Cos-Way Bait & Tackle shooting.

The shooting at the Cos-Way Bait and Tackle on SPID happened sometime after 2 a.m. Fishermen along the pier had heard gunshots and went over toward the sound where they found a 37-year-old man shot multiple times.

The victim has been identified by family as Jose Mendoza, a local rapper known as Flatline.

Emergency crews tried CPR when they arrived on the scene but they could not revive the man.

Mendoza was pronounced dead on the scene.

No motives for the shooting have been reported as of this time.
