SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Victor Oladipo scored 19 points and the Indiana Pacers defeated San Antonio 94-86, snapping the Spurs' 14-game home winning streak. Darren Collison added 15 points for Indiana, which snapped a three-game losing streak in San Antonio. The Spurs lost at home for the third time this season and the first since Nov. 10 against Milwaukee. Pau Gasol had 14 points to lead San Antonio.
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Seventh-ranked Wichita State has hit the first bump in its new American Athletic Conference home with two straight league losses. The Shockers were one of five AP Top 25 teams to lose twice in the past week, including No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 8 Texas Tech. The week included No. 3 Purdue staying hot, No. 10 Kansas earning a marquee win and St. Mary's putting itself in position for a poll appearance.
WACO, Texas (AP) - Former Baylor women's basketball player Chameka Scott has died of cancer. The school announced that Scott died on Sunday. The 33-year-old Scott helped the Lady Bears win the program's first national championship in 2005, when she started 35 of the 36 games. She hit all three of her shots and had four rebounds in the NCAA title game against Michigan State. She went on to play for the Sacramento Monarchs in the WNBA and later in Europe.
(AP) - J.J. Watt, Greg Olsen and Benjamin Watson are finalists for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The recipient of the award that recognizes a player's contribution in his community and to society in general will be revealed on Feb. 3 at NFL Honors, when The Associated Press announces its individual NFL awards.
