ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Elvis Andrus delivered an RBI single with one out in the ninth inning and the Texas Rangers beat the Kansas City Royals 2-1 Saturday night. It was the second time in three games that the Rangers scored in their final at-bat to beat Kansas City.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Marc Gasol hit a 12-foot floater with 0.7 seconds left in overtime, and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the San Antonio Spurs 110-108 Saturday night to even up their first-round series at 2-2. The Grizzlies won despite blowing a 10-point lead with 7:38 left in regulation and 23 turnovers that San Antonio turned into 31 points. Game 5 is Tuesday night in San Antonio.
FRISCO, Texas (AP) - Maynor Figueroa scored his first goal of the season and Jesse Gonzalez earned his 10th career shutout and FC Dallas defeated Sporting Kansas City 1-0 Saturday night. Dallas broke through in the 77th minute of the even match between teams that have now conceded just three goals apiece this season.
HOUSTON (AP) - Erick Torres scored his MLS-leading seventh goal of the season and the Houston Dynamo beat the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 Saturday. Houston is unbeaten, and all of its four wins have come, at home.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Marc Marquez remains the motorcycle rider to beat at the Grand Prix of the Americas. Maverick Vinales has the speed this year to possibly make that happen. Repsol Honda's Marquez won the pole position Saturday for the fifth consecutive year, edging Movistar Yamaha's Vinales in a pulsating final-lap duel between the Spaniards.
