ATLANTA (AP) - Alabama's Nick Saban's influence was hard to miss at the Southeastern Conference Media Days. His coaching tree was represented on each of the four days of the media gathering by four of his former assistants who are now heading their own programs: South Carolina's Will Muschamp, Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher, Georgia's Kirby Smart and Tennessee's Jeremy Pruitt.

CARNOUSTIE, Scotland (AP) - Jordan Spieth was challenging for the lead in the British Open through 14 holes and making it look easy. He called it a clean round of golf. And then it got messy at the end when he dropped four shots over the last four holes for a 72 that left him at least six shot behind.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Elizabeth Cambage had 35 points and 17 rebounds, breaking the WNBA's two-game scoring record, and the Dallas Wings beat the Washington Mystics 90-81. Coming off a historic 53-point performance Tuesday, Cambage broke Minnesota star Maya Moore's record two-game total of 80 points set in 2014. Cambage also became the first player with back-to-back 30-point, 10-rebound games since Moore in 2014.
