    Former Priest Convicted of Solicitation of Capital Murder

    DALLAS - A jury is deliberating the punishment for a former Catholic Priest convicted of trying to hire someone to kill the man who accused him of abuse in 2008. 

    John Fiala was found guilty of solicitation of capital murder. The alleged victim was 16 and Fiala was the Priest of a rural West Texas Parish.

    He faces up to life in prison.

    As you may recall, Fiala was a member of a religious order that served Rockport.
