This past Thursday, many high school students were being awarded the Hector P. Scholarship, three of whom were from Moody. Congrats to Milca Guajardo, Brianda Macias, Megan Garcia, and Bianca Quezeda. Good luck to you all in your future college endeavours!

Senior Emmitt Silguero won the highschool division of the 2013 Multimedia Showcase. All competitors were to create a presentation of any sorts about a Character First trait that is being taught to all CCISD schools. With many students from the local schools competing to win Emmitt took the gold, in the high school division, using the progam animate now on the trait self-control. Way to go Emmitt!

Some of Moody's seniors will be spending their last summer before college in Europe. Mr. Dulip, Moody's Chemistry teacher, is sponsoring the senior trip where they will be visiting places like Barcelona, Pisa, Pompeii, and more. With a group of about 20 they will be gone for fourteen days! Have fun to all that is going and be safe.

Whether it be softball, tennis, golf, or field events Moody seems to excel in it all! Moody girls softball team captured the district title. Moody mixed doubles team, made up of Nathaniel Boatwright and Marissa Cantu, qualified for regionals in Tennis. Kelsey Canales will be advancing to State for golf. Lastly, but definitely not least Adrienne Nickleson qualified for regionals in shotput in field events. Way to go Moody students!

This past Saturday Moody's Key Club gave a helping hand at the Nationl Day of Action Packery Channel Clean up. All key club members showed up and participated in picking up trash along the beach. Whether it was plastic bags or fishing lines, Moody's Key Club was on working hard to get rid of it. Along with other volunteers, they did their part to keep America beautiful.

Moody's FTC robotics is taking the stage in San Antonio, Texas on Friday March 29, 2013. They have worked hard to refine and redesign their two robots since competing in district in late February. It's now time for the teams to showcase their skills at the state level going against other schools from around the state. If they can win it here then they will go to nationals and compete against teams from all across the country. GOOD LUCK MOODY ROBOTICS!!! Bring home the 1st place trophy!

Moody hosted the 5th Annual Engineering Olympics this past Friday. Students from grades 9-12 participated in different activities, including wind turbine, mousetrap cars, cardboard boats, chariots, and powerboats.
