  All juniors took their exit level TAKS tests this past week. This was the last time the TAKS will be used, starting next year it will be strictly the STAAR test. This following week and the week after will be more testing and schedules are very askewed now.

  Drugs at Carroll

  Yesterday morning just after 9 a.m a teacher reported that a student arrived in class under the influence of an illegal substance.There were cop cars and an ambulance that showed up immediately. The principal sent out a letter to the student body at the beginning of 5th period to inform parents and guardians. They asked to emphasize the consequences of these actions.

  Mary Carroll's prom is Saturday April 27 at the American Bank Center in the Water Garden Room from eight P.M. until midnight! Tickets are still on saleso buy them today!! All Carroll Seniors should attend this event whether you go with someone, in a group, or solo. Dj Skip will have the biggest set up he has ever had.   Recently Carroll baseball struggled through a six game losing streak which involved a big loss/upset against King. Despite this six game losing streak our team is getting back on their feet and working towards another state championship. We are only a few weeks away from the beginning of playoffs. Carroll High School students stand behind the baseball team and wish them the best of luck in playoffs.

  Carroll Softball doesn't make playoffs!

  On April 12, 2013 Carroll Varsity traveled to Steele highschool to battle it out for playoffs. It was 0-0 all the way up to the fifth inning but Steele managed to bring three runs in and Carroll brought in one with the last chance to bat they had bases loaded and two outs with Alex Gonzalez up to bat she hit it to the short stop and got the last out of the game. Carroll lost 3-1 and is no longer going to playoffs the season was great but sadly its over!

  Last chance for Prom Tickets!

  With Prom this weekend and all the preparation for it, its the last chance to buy prom tickets which are now $40. Whoever doesn't have their prom ticket needs to get it ASAP! Don't wait 'til the last minute because they could sell out and you'll loose the chance to celebrate prom, for seniors that is.

  Tigerette Clinic

  This weekend Tigerettes had a little future Tigerette clinic. It was for kids from grades pre-k through middle school. It started at 9 am and finished at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They learned a routine to preform in the Tigerette Springshow coming up. Each Tigerette was given a little girl to help them learn the routine and show them how to do everything.

  TAKS Testing

  Beginning Tuesday April 23, Mary Carroll juniors will be taking their final TAKS tests. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, students will be taking the math, science, and history. After this year's juniors, TAKS will be done away with and the STAAR tests will take its place. We'd like to wish good luck to all the juniors at Carroll taking these important tests!

  Carroll Choir Dinner and a Show

  Tickets are on sale now for the Carroll Choir Dinner and a Show! The theme is big band and swing music. Students will be performing and dinner will be served!

  Hassle with Prom tickets!

  Carroll is so ridiculous they had prom tickets for sale on the carroll homepage for 30$. But it was so difficult to buy one because of how complicated the webpage is with signing in so many times and figuring out how to buy the tickets. It was such a hassle. Now they are selling them at the school for 40$. So ridiculous!
