CORPUS CHRISTI - A horde of the undead took over the downtown area tonight. And despite their craving for brains, these zombies did it all for a good cause.
A mass of these undead ghouls poured down the streets of downtown Corpus Christi for the first, and likely annual, Zombie Walk For A Cause.
"It's for charity, it's for people who need the money," said a ballerina zombie.
These ghastly volunteers helped raise money for CASA of the Coastal Bend as well as the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
"I think it's great, it's good causes for both the CASA and the animals, and I just think it's a great turnout. It's amazing," one of the zombies said.
The horde of nearly 500 re-animated corpses, shuffled for about two miles all to raise money for these two great organizations.
"It is a good cause and I support the Humane Society and CASA," said another.
And even these zombies were impressed at the overwhelming turnout of the undead.
"Pretty amazing, you only see this stuff in big towns usually," said one of the ghouls.
