CORPUS CHRISTI - Two young boys, ages 2 and 4, were found wandering alone Thursday night at 19th and the Crosstown Expressway.
Someone passing through the area called police after spotting the boys.
Several officers spent nearly an hour going door to door in the surrounding neighborhood, asking residents if they knew the boys, who could only tell police their first names.
Police finally found an address for their mother just after 10:00pm.
When contacted, the mother claimed she left the boys with her aunt.
The aunt told officers the children had gone to the store with her boyfriend, but officers didn't believe the aunt's story and arrested her.
Carol Coronado, 41, was charged with Child Endangerment.
CPS advised police that they could release the children back to their mother, since the mother was not at fault for the incident.
The boys were not hurt.
