Ynfante Accused of Hitting 3 People With Vehicle in Jim Wells County

ALICE - Authorities in Jim Wells County have charged 27-year-old Roberto J. Ynfante with three counts aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly running over three people with a vehicle after midnight on New Year's Day.

Captain Brandon Torres with the Sheriff's Department says the victims were together at 900 Range Street for a gathering.

All three were taken to the hospital with serious injuries while witnesses identified Ynfante as the suspect.

Capt. Torres says Ynfante claims he felt threatened after a fight and knows everyone who was injured.

He's now being held on $150,000 bond.
