Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Chuck E Cheese Rescheduled

CORPUS CHRISTI - A civil lawsuit over the death of a young boy in the Chuck E Cheese parking lot will now be handled in a different court and the plaintiffs must wait until next year for the case to start.

3-year-old Eli Rodriguez died when he was hit by a truck crossing in front of the family restaurant back in 2010.

His mother, Yvonne Rosas, is seeking $50 million dollars for herself and $30 million each for her two other children.

Rodriguez says the restaurant failed to take any steps to protect children and other people crossing the parking lot while heading to the entrance.

The trial was supposed to be heard today, but will now be heard in February 2014.
