CORPUS CHRISTI -- More than 500 ceremonies took place across the country in a wreath laying for our veterans.
In Corpus Christi, the Veterans Band and Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery sponsored the event.
Veterans, organizations, families and kids at Ben Bolt Middle School and Tuloso Midway raised donations to make sure all the veterans gravesites were honored with a special wreath this holiday season.
People who put this event together say the kids really helped to make it successful.
Cecilia Beavers said, "It's just great to see these families come out here and support they're ultimate sacrifice too because they are a part of this whole thing too and it fills me with pride for our country and just to be a part of it."
