AUSTRIA - Iran and six world powers officially began the sixth round of nuclear talks in Vienna.
European Foreign Affairs Chief Catherine Ashton and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif met Thursday morning.
They were joined by the EU's Deputy Secretary General for political affairs and Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister.
Negotiations aim to reach an accord by July 20th. Talks ended last month without significant progress.
Iran is pushing to keep its present enrichment capacity and says it isn't seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
Washington wants deep cuts in the nearly 20-thousand enriching centrifuges Iran has operating or on standby.
Negotiators are working on a draft they started drawing up in June, which Iran's Foreign Minister described as a document having more blank sections than text.
The six world powers involved in the talks are the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany.
