CORPUS CHRISTI - A 33-year-old woman was stabbed in the face this morning and police are trying to figure out what led to the attack.
Just before 9 a.m., police got a call to the home on the 2600 block of Sonora. They found a woman with a knife wound to her face. She told police her boyfriend was responsible.
Daniel Ramirez, 30, was arrested for the crime a few minutes later on South Port Avenue. He's facing an aggravated assault charge.
Police say the victim and the suspect are dating and live together.
She was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery where she's listed in critical condition.
