Woman In Motorized Wheelchair Dies In Wreck

GALVESTON - Authorities say a woman using a motorized wheelchair has died after being struck by a vehicle in a Southeast Texas traffic accident.
Galveston police say the woman died following the wreck Wednesday afternoon at an intersection. Police are investigating whether the victim went through a red light before being struck by a car. She died later at a Galveston hospital.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
Police say no charges are immediately planned against the driver of the vehicle.
