SAN LEON, Texas (AP) - A Southeast Texas woman has been charged with murder after investigators say she called 911 to report she disarmed her husband and shot him.
The Galveston County Sheriff's Office says 46-year-old Genevieve Harvey of San Leon was arrested early Thursday with bond set at $100,000.
Online jail records don't list an attorney for Harvey, who's charged in the slaying of Lindsey Tarver. Authorities are seeking a motive.
The sheriff's department says Harvey called dispatchers Wednesday night to say she took a gun from Tarver and shot him. He was dead at the scene. Detectives recovered a revolver.
Investigators say Harvey was too intoxicated during the initial investigation to be interviewed.
Records indicate deputies have made several calls to the home in San Leon on reports of assault or other disturbances.
