Woman Calls 911 to Report Police Imposter

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man accused of falsely identifying himself as a police officer is not under arrest as Corpus Christi police continue to investigate claims made a woman.

The victim told officers the man came up to her at the Port-Ayers intersection on Tuesday morning. She told police he identified himself as an officer, had a gun tucked in his waistband, and was driving a grey Chevy Impala. She was able to write down the license plate for the man's Impala.

According to police, officers were able to track the man down and establish he is not a peace officer. No further information was provided about the man's identity or what further information police need to obtain in the case.

The man is described as 6' tall, weighing 200 pounds, a bald head, and a goatee.
