Woman Accused Of Assisting In Elderly Man's Murder Expected In Court

CORPUS CHRISTI-- One of the two people in connection with the murder of an elderly Corpus Christi man is expected in court later today.

Esmerlada Benavidez will be in Judge Williams' 148th court.

She is accused of breaking into the home of Felipe Martinez in August of 2012.

Police say that someone hit Martinez on the head, and that caused a severe head injury. Martinez died a few days later.

Antonio Arrendondo, Jr. is the other person accused in the case. He will not be in court today.
