CORPUS CHRISTI - The well-advertised cold front moved through the Coastal Bend early this morning around 2-4AM and brought with it some very windy conditions as gusts have reached in excess of 35-40mph in some locations.
Today, expect most of the clouds to begin to thin out with partly to mostly sunny conditions as cooler air settles in. Afternoon highs should only reach the mid-60s as the winds will generally lighten up as the day progresses. Wind Advisories for the area will expire around Noon.
Tonight, expect mostly clear conditions with light northerly winds and an overnight low of 36 degrees. Some locations in our northern counties may encounter a light freeze.
Temperatures remain in the 60s through Friday and a warm up commences by the weekend and on into the Christmas holidays. Another front looks to arrive Christmas Day and, for now, will allow for some daytime heating to occur, but will bring another dose of some cooler air Tuesday night and Wednesday.
