ROBSTOWN -- A fire fueled by wind destroyed two homes on West Avenue E Monday afternoon, leaving a family without a place to live.
The fire, which started about 3:00 p.m., spread to an adjacent home after high winds fanned the flames.
"I told my sister to call 911 so when she called 911 I went knocking on doors and a couple little puppies - saved a couple little puppies," said Don Sosa.
Everyone inside was able to get out safe. Fire officials said they have not yet determined the cause of the initial fire.
