CORPUS CHRISTI - A planned protest at West Oso High School was foiled by school administrators today. The protest was being held by students who were upset over this weekend's homecoming dance.
The students say the school's principal cut their dance short after she got upset that some of the girl's dresses were too short. Instead of the dance lasting until midnight, it was ended at 10 p.m.
School administrators apparently caught wind of the protest and told students they'd be locked out and marked absent if they left the building to protest.
Police stood watch over the campus as students were called in to speak with administrators. Students say they are considering going to the school board meeting next monday to complain.
