CORPUS CHRISTI- We had another day of near record high heat today. The dry upper level high is slowly backing out of the area and unlike the last upper level low that only produced isolated showers this past Sunday and Monday, the one that is coming next week will get west of us. This will result in increasing tropical moisture and at least scattered showers (not everybody gets rain) in the area beginning Monday of next week and lasting until Friday. As the tropical moisture increases our sizzling high temperatures will be more reasonable.
Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with only a lonely shower and still blazing hot with a record high Saturday of 99 and 97 on Sunday. Wind will be nearly calm at night and early each morning and a bit breezier Sunday afternoon.
Tropical rain showers increase here next week beginning on Monday. Elsewhere the tropics are all quiet.
