CORPUS CHRISTI- It was humid but dry today and noticeably warmer with late day sun and a high of 82. Our weather pattern becomes more unsettled for the weekend with an opportunity for some badly needed rain. Here are the details.
Return flow from the southeast will result in warmer temperatures as a weak upper level disturbance and weak cold front settle over south Texas resulting in meaningful rain for the area beginning late Saturday night and on Sunday. An unusually strong cold front is also expected to generate some rain and push thru the area toward the end of next week with temperatures dropping to near record low levels behind the front.
Tonight it will become cloudy with a light breeze muggy and milder with a low of 72.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy humid and warm with less wind and a high of 86.
Saturday night and Sunday expect light winds lots of clouds and scattered thundershowers some with locally heavy rain with a low of 70 and high near 80.
Enjoy your weekend.
