Water Boil Notice Still in Effect for Taft

TAFT - Officials in Taft say a boil water notice remains in effect today due a major water line break on Wednesday.

A crew spent four hours fixing the 'blowout' of a water main, only to have the same line break again. The repairs were completed late yesterday.

Water samples were sent out this morning for testing. If everything comes back as okay, the notice could be lifted as early as tomorrow.

Residents are advised to boil water to be used for drinking or cooking.
