CORPUS CHRISTI - Our very nice Spring Break weather will continue for today as we end out the week. High pressure has provided us with an abundance of sunshine in the Coastal Bend and today will not be too different as we expect temperatures to be a degree or two warmer than yesterday with the winds a little breezier later today.
So, we will look for mostly sunny skies this afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a few mid-level clouds and temperatures reaching the lower 80s in the city. Along the coast, expect those highs to reach the lower to mid-70s. Winds today will be out of the south-southeast around 15-25mph sustained and higher gusts around 35 possible.
Tonight, we will keep a few more clouds around than previous nights and temperatures will be on the mild side only falling into the lower 60s. Dewpoint levels should remain in the 50s with the winds calming down around 5-15. This should keep fog limited, but those areas that do get the winds to get a bit lighter could see some fog form.
A warming trend will continue through the weekend and the start of next week. A weak front looks to stall over South Texas late Monday and into Tuesday morning that will bring us clouds and maybe a shower or two, but not much. Temperatures will fall out of the upper 80s to the upper 70s and lower 80s with winds still gusting around 30+.
Have a great weekend!
