CORPUS CHRISTI - It took a jury less than an hour to find 21-year-old Miranda Cisneros guilty of three counts of aggravated robbery and one count of child endangerment today.

Now the trial moves into the punishment phase. Cisneros could face anywhere from parole to 99 years in prison.

Defense attorney Scott Ellison says the minimum prison time she could face is five years, and that she'd have to serve at least half time.

Cisneros tried to steal $300 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on Greenwood back in June. After employees tried to detain her, she fled the store. As employees pursued her into the parking lot, she got in her car and sped away, running over three employees in the process.

Her 2-year old-child was in the driver's seat with her as she fled. The incident was caught on surveillance video, and the prosecution pointed to that in its closing argument.

"That she stole. That a theft occurred. You saw the theft occur. You saw the defendant. You saw the defendant walk out of the store with all those items. Believe your eyes. Believe your common sense," Prosecutor William Delgado said.

The defense argued that Cisneros fled the store because she felt her child would go to Child Protective Services if she was arrested.

The prosecution countered. "So you're telling me that it's justified, that it's a need. When you get in trouble, when you're being caught, that you can do whatever you want, run over whoever you want, because you don't want to go to jail," Delgado said.

The trial is expected to be wrapped up tomorrow as the jury will decide what her punishment will be.
